The original course in Maui, Hawaii
(1993)
|
Putt-2-Go was founded in 1993 in Maui,
Hawaii, by Marty Flores. Martys dream was to open a
miniature golf course, but he was not able to secure the site
he desired.
In a moment of inspiration, Marty decided to
market a course that came to the customer.
At his first events, Marty mowed and dug holes
to create his 18-hole course. He found this method to be a
hole lot of work and decided a better route might
be building a course that was portable. This was precisely
the tweak the business needed, resulting in a much more streamlined
and easier operation.
Putt-2-Go took off and was relocated to the
mainland in 1995. Assisted by his wife, Marty currently manages
the company at its headquarters in Brea, California.
Since its inception, the company has had a proven
track record of growth. In 2008, celebrating 15 years of service,
the company began its journey of expanding nationwide by franchising.
