The original course in Maui, Hawaii
(1993)
|
Putt-2-Go was founded in 1993 in Maui,
Hawaii, by Marty Flores. Initially, Marty had actually wanted
to open a miniature golf course, but he was unable to secure
a site. In a moment of inspiration, Marty decided to build
a course that came to the customer.
At his first events, Marty mowed grass and dug
holes to create his 18-hole course. He found this method to
be a hole lot of work and decided to come up with
a better solution. Similar to today's course, the next model
was much more streamlined and easier to operate.
Putt-2-Go took off and was relocated to the
mainland in 1995. Assisted by his wife, Marty currently manages
the company at its headquarters in Brea, California.
